The U10's made a strong start to the season after starting the game very slowly.
The first half saw Meadway dominating the play, posession and chances, with the U10's lucky not to be two or three down at the break.
The second half saw an improvement in passing, talking and tackling from the U10's and after a delightful cross from Rhys was headed into his own net by a Meadway defender, there was no looking back.
Jack got off the mark for the season soon afterwards with a typical poachers goal, and the game was finished off in the late stages when Ben finished well after neat build up play- even if he did pinch the shot from Calum's toes!
Meadway continued to the end and Matthew denied them a consolation goal with a terrific save when left stranded one on one with a Meadway attacker- diving low to his right to stop a well placed shot.
To build on this performance the U10's must learn to start games as strongly as they finish them, as against stronger teams they would have been well out of the game by half time.
