Welcome to the Under 9s! We formed in the summer of 2006. We played in the East Berks League Under 7s Division B/C in season 2006/2007 and in Division C in season 2007/2008. The main objective of this age group is participation, while teaching some basic routines and skills, ball control, passing, shooting, movement and most of all fun and enjoyment.

We will again play in the East Berks Youth League where we play 7 a side mini soccer. This is now competitive but the emphasis is on development and not winning, a view also shared by Spencers Wood Youth Football Club.

Training sessions are at Ryeish Green Playing Fields on Thursdays from 6-7pm during the summer. Winter training venue still to be confirmed for 2008/2009 season.

Spencers Wood Youth FC is a charter standard club and this means that all coaches should be at least FA Level 1 qualified, we have 2 Level 1 qualified coaches. The coaches have also been CRB checked and hold the FA required Child Protection and First Aid qualifications.
